Haha. With that mindset, I feel sad for your future significant others. When you have a thing with someone or commit to someone, it should mean prioritizing him or her to show that you indeed do care about their well being and what you have between each other. And I don’t see that I got screwed over in the past. My past flings just happened to not work out due to reasons on both sides and each one has left very valuable lessons and memories. To commit to someone means that you have made him or her an important aspect in your life at that certain time and I’d want her to have the time of her life regardless of the past. Plus if the person was that important for me to have done all these things while I had a thing with her but things ended up not working out, I’d want her to not settle for anything less with the future guys in her life. Many teens today go for or stay with people who treat them really badly when they deserve so much more and just need someone to depend on and trust. If you have made mistakes or have been screwed over, see it as just a learning step towards a beautiful future. Forgive and open yourself up to life.
